Name: Castiel
Age: ageless
Species: angel
Job: Follow and protect Dean when necessary, restore order to heavely ranks[originally] As applied to the board SL: protect luna as well.
Picture Of Character
History:He, on Gods orders, pulled Dean Winchester out of Hell. After pulling Dean from Hell back to earth, He almost kills Dean a couple of times, by accident, by trying to appear to Dean in his true form, which is lethal. To see an angel is to have your eyes burned out and if you hear an angel your ears begin to bleed. So Castiel possesses a mortal who prayed for it to happen. At his first non lethal appearance to Dean, Castiel is asked why he pulled Dean out of Hell, and his reply is “because we have work for you.”
In another instance, when Castiel has been charged to fulfill a task with his brother Uriel, he confesses to Dean that he questions his orders from God, as he no longer understand the difference between right and wrong. Castiel has played an integral part in the boys’ search for Lillith, as he was able to name all the seals that had fallen and were in danger of falling as well as many variations on how to stop them from breaking, but because of his doubt, stopping the seals from being broken, became harder as they went along since Castiel was at some point “cut off from Heaven” which directly affected his angelic powers, making him more human than angel.
His relationship with Dean differs in his relationship to Sam n that Castiel has come into the picture initially to save and prepare Dean for the ArchAngel deathmatch between Micheal and Lucifer. You can see this difference from the first time Sam meets Castiel and Castiel refers to him as “the boy with the demon blood” But he is sympathetic to the relationship between the brothers since he has had to question and reevaluate his own relationship with his Heavenly family time and time again.
Very often Castiel is told by Dean that, he[Cas] will never understand why he continues to sacrifice for his brother, but Castiel shows his understading when Castiel is presumed dead. He was Killed by the archangel Raphael. He sacrifices himself in an attempt to give the Winchester boys a chance to hide from the angels. However, Castiel returns later still in the image of his vessel, believed to be resurrected as such by God Himself.
